Mountain Rise Bakery began with a simple love for baking that started long before this business ever existed. From a young age, I found joy in the process of baking. Mixing, creating and sharing homemade baked goods with the people around me brought me so much joy. Over time, that passion grew into something more: a vision of creating a small bakery that could serve my community with fresh, local, and thoughtfully made bread and baked goods.

What started in my home kitchen has grown into a cottage bakery based in Parkersburg, WV. Every loaf of sourdough and baked goods is made by hand using slow fermentation methods and quality ingredients with a focus on flavor, simplicity, and care.

As someone who works full-time in healthcare, baking has become a creative outlet and a way to connect others and serve my community further. Mountain Rise Bakery is built around the idea of slowing down, doing things intentionally, and offering something meaningful to the community — whether it’s a fresh loaf of bread for the table, or a box of treats to share.

This business is just the beginning of a long-term dream to grow into a space that serves the area with quality baked goods, while always staying rooted in the same values it started with: passion, consistency, a genuine love of baking, and a small community centered focus.
